Digital Video Scaling Engine

General Description

Digital Video up/down scaler accepts RGB video and permits independent horizontal and vertical scaling of the input to generate any desired resolution or aspect ratio. Uses a series of FIR polyphase filter banks with configurable coefficients to generate a studio-quality interpolated output image. Ideal for digital TV applications and digital video pipelines or any application where a custom image size is required.

- 24-bit fixed-point scale factor
- 5x2-tap polyphase FIR filter (16 phases)

- Small area footprint - minimal RAM resource
- Scale-up to Full HD with frame rates of 100Hz+
- Separate config. of vertical and horizontal filters
- No frame buffer required
